The role focuses on providing support primarily to students with mild to moderate communication needs and requires on-site work throughout the contract school year.
Key qualifications and experience include:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC credentials
- Valid and active state educator certification in speech-language pathology (CDE-required)
- Previous experience working in schools, preferably with elementary-aged children
- Ability and willingness to work on-site full-time
- Skillset in evaluating and treating mild to moderate speech and language disorders
Primary responsibilities encompass:
- Conducting comprehensive speech and language evaluations and screenings
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored for elementary students
- Collaborating closely with teachers, parents, and other school professionals to support student progress
- Maintaining detailed records and reports aligned with school and state requirements
- Participating in team meetings and parent conferences as needed
